Yesterday I attended the IMATS (International Makeup Artist Trade Show) at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. I was on the hunt for cool, amazing must have makeup products, and my friend Jeyda was on the hunt for natural, organic, paraben-free beauty products. The event was crazy busy, full of makeup junkies just like me. Here are some highlights from our successful shop...
One of my fave purchases was a concealer by Veil Cosmetics. I met the founder of Veil Cosmetics, Sebestien Tardif who was so sweet and I was lucky enough for him to give me a demonstration. The concealer, made in Canada by the way, gives amazing coverage, a fabulous Kim Kardashianesque highlight (which you know I absolutely love!) and also a soothing and hydrating skincare product. It aids in reducing pigmentation, redness and fine lines and wrinkles. I have found my new holy grail concealer!! Jeyda gave me her stamp of approval as the line is paraben and oil free, hypoallergenic, non-irritating and dermatologist tested.
Another product which I am just dying to try out are my 100% cruelty free mink fake lashes from Velour. I am always seeing beauty bloggers rave about these lashes and I am so excited to wear them. I purchased the "Lash in the City" and "You Complete Me" which have been seen on celebs like Rita Ora, Demi Lovato, Nina Dobrev, Jessica Simpson and Kate Upton. Oh, and another perk... you can wear them up to 25 times!
Jeyda fell in love with Naked Advanced Skin Care, which is an amazing cream that contains Manuka honey which has antibacterial, anti fungal and anti inflammatory powers. The cream also contains amino acids, aloe vera, vitamins and minerals, shea butter and a special grade of algae, which helps the skin heal. They were also offering us free hand massages, so how could we say no?
